I would like to nominate Jill Myers as teacher of the year. Her time & dedication to her students & their families is second to none. She makes everyone (no matter how long they have been at the studio) feel like 1 big family. Jill makes our studio A Step Above the rest.
That’s great! We’ll add Jill to the nominees. Be sure to go on Facebook to post your vote!
I would like to nominate Tara Cave as teacher of the year. She is so wonderful and kind my daughter has great respects for her. My daughter Annie just tells me all the good things she has done not only with the dancers but also with the families. She is very compassionate and willing to help anyone who is in need. My daughter learn so much from her, not only dancing but responsibility, commitment and drives to be the best as you can be. With teacher like that how can you go wrong?
I would like to nominate Jill Myers from A Step Above Dance Studio for Teacher of the Year. My daughter danced at another studio for 6 years. When we switched to Jill’s studio, my daughter’s skills skyrocketed and her passion for dance was back. Jill encourages the dancers to strive for more in life and in dance. While the dancers work hard, they find enjoyment and fun at the same time. Jill encourages a “family” atmosphere and makes every dancer (recreational and competitive) feel equally important. God blessed us when he guided us to A Step Above Dance Studio and especially and Jill Myers.
What nice things to say about Jill! I’m sure she appreciates it. We will certainly count your vote for her! Thanks for participating!
I nominate Alyssa Linet from A Step Above. She is a young teacher, but excellent. I have 2 daughters that are taught by Miss Alyssa. My oldest daughter is 14 and has 7 years dance experience. She thinks Miss Alyssa is so cool, and easy to talk to, but yet pushes her and her abilities to the max. She doesn’t just tell her what to do, she shows her, which is priceless. My youngest daughter is 5 and this is her first year dancing. She began when she was 4.Miss Alyssa taught her technique, stage presence and confidence. She worked miracles with her. She was amazingly patient and understanding which has paid off big time. This upcoming year both of my girls are taking solos to competition and see thrilled to be working with Miss Alyssa! In todays crazy world it is great to have such a great role model for my girls. Miss. Alyssa Rocks!
I would like to vote for Jill Myers. She has been a great teacher for my daughters. She as great enthusiasm about dance and promotes team spirit! She has made dance exciting and fun for her students while teaching them at the same time. In her studio it is not about ME it is about WE as a family. Thanks Miss Jill.
I would like to nominate Tara Cave. She is truly an amazing teacher. All of the dancers love and respect her. She teaches the dancers to be competitive but to do it with respect to other studios and other dancers. She is truly a great person and we all love her!!!! The dancers learn so much from her and she takes the time to help those who need a little extra. She is WONDERFUL!!!
I would love to nominate Miss Jill Meyers from A Step Above Dance Studio. We have had the honor of knowing Miss Jill for the past 2 years. Prior to coming to Miss Jills studio we had been at another studio for 5 years where I saw my daughters love for dance slowly diminish. Since coming to Miss Jill I have seen the love for dance reunite into so much enthusiasm. Miss Jill not only instills the love of dance into her students, but she instills the love of life, happiness, friends, and most importantly FAMILY. We can not imagine our lives without Miss Jill being a part of it. We are so blessed to have been led to her studio and to know Miss Jill and her staff. Thanks for all of your love and support and all you do for your students and families. You are an unbelievable blessing in our lives!
I nominate my dance teacher Cami Hulin. Miss Cami teaches you so much and you have fun while learning!!!!!!! She works us hard and it pays off. The studio is like my second home because I’m there so much and it is so fun to be at the studio!!!!! Go Cami!!!!! Thankyou for all your dedication.:)

She spends many hours creating new dances and making sure that we have lots of fun! I love being a part of A Step Above Dance studio and am so glad that I have Miss Jill and staff to look up to!
I nominate Kim Hohman for best dance teacher of the year!! Kim teaches soo many dance classes and works year round to make every one different in their own way. She attends many conventions and yet has time for her family. How she does it i don’t know. Kim invites everyone and anyone into her dance family. I love dancing at Kim Hohman’s Danceworks!! I would like to nominate Tracy Poti from Cole Academy. I grew up dancing with Tracy since I was a little girl. She helped me out to learn and be able to do the parts I couldn’t get down. She is a wonderful person in general. She is a great friend, dancer, and teacher. I had her as a teacher for a few years, and I learnt more in those couple of years of my dance career than I have ever learnt. She makes sure you do the best that you can. She also supports you even if you don’t do very good. She is an inspiration to me and I know to alot of other dancers. I hope she is still teaching when my girl can dance because I know Tracy could make her to be a wonderful dancer.
I would like to nominate Miss Sue Ward. She has been a wonderful inspiration for my daughters Jessie and Jordyn. Jessie had a last minute change in plans prior to nationals this year. Her duo partner left and left Jessie without a partner. Miss Sue stepped in and taught her the dance as a solo instead! Thanks to Miss sue she is still able to perform her dance. Shje has gone the extra mile for Jessie and we appreciate it!
Our vote goes to Kim Hohman of Kim Hohman’s DanceWorks. I just made the comment the other day that I could never do her job, she truly has a gift and gives gives gives! Every person that enters her studio is greeted with her warm smile and if I didn’t believe she was the BEST dance instructor around I would not have my daughter at her studio every week. My little one looks up to Miss Kim as a role model and hero with our full approval!
I would love to nominate Kim Hohman from Kim Hohman’s Dance Works she is a great instructor. My daughter just loves dancing there.Kim Goes above and beyond what Any dance instuctor has to do for her students. My daughter came from another state dancing ballet and she greeted my little girl with smiles and open arms and she still smiles and greets her students and their parents like they are important. MY little girl looks forward to dancing every week and now looks forward to her cheerleading with kim twice a week, she is a wonderful teacher and coach !
She brings out the best in her students,a wonderful role model, and her students potential.
I would like to vote for Kim Hohman from Kim Hohman’s Danceworks. Kim is a great role model in our community and to each and every dancer and family. Also a great friend. She deserves this more than anyone for all of her hard work and dedication which shows in each and every dancer! Love you Kim!!!

I would like to vote for Miss Jill Myers from A Step Above Dance Studio. My daughter has taken dance for 5 years. In her first year, we were with another studio. Even though my daughter liked dance, she didn’t talk to any other students and the staff didn’t really “teach” her anything. We made the switch to A Step Above and all of that is LONG Gone. She excels at dance and she talks to everybody. After, our 1st year with A Step Above, I saw a remarkable difference in my daughters attitude and talent. I believe in A Step Above for their vision in dance, with their students, and their values. Miss Jill and all of the other instructors teach techinque first, sportsmanship second, and family third. I can honestly say, my daughter has two families that care deeply for her and that is so amazing to me. It is more about the art and family values that brings this studio to life.
i would like to vote for all the teachers at a step above dance studio.miss.Jill,miss.Sue,and miss.Alyssa.thanks for everything.miss.Jill makes everybody feel like a part of her family.

I want to vote for Miss Jill Myers at A Step Above. She made dancing fun and my sister a dance monster.
I would like to vote for Miss Sue Ward from A Step Above. She has made it her goal to teach dance to the kids and have the kids respect the studio, thier teachers, theirselves & anyone they are around. The studio fully supports the parents in regard to school and sportsmanship being very important in the kids life. Where they not only talk about it but, they enforce it.
I want to vote for Miss Jill Myers at A Step Above. She makes our studio more than a studio, she treats us like we are a big family. I love you,, Jill.
